What is involved here?

We are a small breeders of Shar-Pei. We have the need to promote our puppies. We have the need to provide a value-added services to differentiate ourselves from the puppy mills. We need to sell our puppies at the highest price attainable to cover our costs and ultimately, make a buck, or at least not go out of business because we can't cover our costs. We look at the minimum vaccine trays and wonder how we can afford 25 vials of vaccine that will expire within a year. We need business cards. We need to develop our knowledge to cover a mirad of subjects. We need to gather information about boarding, feeding, caring for, whelping, and vaccinating our puppies.

How do you fit in?

Chances are, you need many of the same things we do. You need the information that will get you 250 business cards for free and a website for almost nothing. You need the free exchange of information from other breeders like yourself, people who love Shar-Pei.

How are we doing this?

This website is currently costing us less than $10 per year (1H2009). Can you believe it? Our costs are likely to grow as things pick up and we want more space and more speed and such, but you can see we are not the big spenders here. The $10 does not cover any page coding or programming. This is all being donated at this time. If you are an HTML programmer, everything you need to create a website like this is documented in LINKS/WEBPAGE, but why bother? We are willing to share. Why? Because, like you, we need a network of like minded breeders. We need multiple solutions to problems so we can pick what works for us best. We need the purchasing power of a group to get the really large discounts to be competitive.
