Einstein, is a purebred mutt from a family of mutts. Her father was a mutt, her mother was a mutt. Her pedigree traces back to the very first mix between breeds. She is approximately ½ of 1% of everything, ½ of 1% beagle, ½ of 1% St. Bernard, ½ of 1% Poodle, and on and on.
Actually, Einstein is a rescue dog with an unknown heritage. When we got Einstein, she could not stand on her right front paw. There was a cut and it was infected. After several rounds of antibiotics, exploratory surgery was performed and a two inch long thorn was extracted from the wound. She recovered quickly after the surgery.
Einstein was trained as a therapy dog and has since been placed with a family in Gastonia NC. She provides companionship and plays with their five year old son.
